Yacht Charters in New Zealand
New Zealands boasts untamed natural beauty like no other place on earth. With its diverse wild landscape and unprecedented natural beauty, it makes it a great place to explore by sailing.
The opportunities for charter and boat rental are plentiful for both the north and south islands in New Zealand (NZ). You can rent a sailing boat, motor boat or catamaran from Auckland and explore the Hauraki Gulf islands popular for their flawless sandy beaches or head to the the Bay of Islands, with over 100 small islands, for the superb experiences in snorkelling and scuba diving. Others will prefer the South island with its rugged mountains and untamed wildnerness, heading to Milford Sound and the aptly named Paradise Valley to see the peaceful glass lakes meet ominous mountain shadows.
Charter season in NZ is betewen November and April, but the sailing condistions can be extremely varied due to the often unpredictable weather of New Zealand (think four seasons in a day). It is best to always consult the weather bureau and official marine websites for a better outlook on your sailing route. The Northern parts of NZ such as the Hauraki Gulf are fairly sheltered for good sailing however the Tasman sea on the West coast of New Zealand is well known for strong currents and can be very dangerous to sail, even for the most experienced sailors.
