What qualifications are required for chartering a bareboat in Slovenia?
A Bareboat charter indicates that you rent a yacht and head off on your own, you will make all decisions and take care of all sailing matters. In most countries, chartering a yacht requires internationally recognized boat licenses, for example, ICC, Radio License or CEVNI. These licenses prove that the person has been educated with formal training and has all the essential boating skills to operate a boat in international waters. If you have a license from your home country, you can usually fill out an ICC application and submit it with proof of your current license to receive an official ICC certificate.
What documents and licenses do I need to have on charter yacht in Slovenia?
Entry to Slovenia is only permitted at the ports located in Koper and Piran (and Izola from May to October). After anchoring, the vessel, crew and passengers must be handed over to the border authorities. The following documents are necessary for this:
